By combining with other CIS files

As a continuation from Section 2, it is possible to add to or subtract from the region created using a logical operator. In the example presented below information has been added to the existing region on the basis of Open Countryside (OS Strategi) being > 50%.

The resulting region file is presented below. As can be seen from this the vast majority of land can be defined by areas of > 50% Built up Towns and > 50 Open Countryside.

A further function available when refining regions is to be able to invert the region. The user simply has to click on the invert region button (below) and the region is immediately inverted.
