Region filesRegion files (*.rgn) are data files that represent typical areas for analysis. These include countries - England, Scotland Northern Ireland and Wales - and all of the counties in the UK. Regions are the mechanism by which data in sample and census files are extracted. For region files the data window contains three tabs
The Descriptions tab included describing background to the region and the binary nature of the cells in region data - they are in or out of the region. Other reformation details the origins of the data and the data provider. Of significant interest is the Refinement log that list the steps that have been taken to refine the region (see the tutorial section on "Creating new region files")
